Venice Passenger Terminal (VTP), right in the heart of Venice Port is the only one location in Venice that can be easily and strategically reached both by road and by water and it will be the venue of the 35th ESVN-ECVN Symposium.
Located a few hundred meters from Piazzale Roma, entry-point to the Historical City connected in 2 minutes trip thanks to the People Mover, Terminal 103 at VTP can be reached by road thanks to the ‘Ponte della Libertà’ bridge and are situated at short distance from both the Marco Polo International Airport and the Railway Station.
Overlooking the fascinating Marittima Basin and therefore also reachable by water, Terminal 103 at VTP is the crown-jewel of the Marittima Passenger Port.
The Cruise Port is only:
500 m. far away from Piazzale Roma, starting point for Venice Historical city center, reachable in 3 minutes thanks to the land funicular “people mover”

How to reach the Conference centre
If your Hotel is in Venice
Take ACTV water shuttle called “Vaporetto" to arrive in Piazzale Roma (before boarding it is advisable to ask confirmation that you are taking the correct vaporetto in the right direction) and then take the People mover to the Marittima/Cruise Terminal (where the Terminal 103 is located) or you can easily walk (it takes about 10 minutes from Piazzale Roma to the Terminal 103).
If your Hotel is in Mestre
ACTV public buses towards Venice stop in Piazzale Roma and then the People mover to the Marittima/Cruise Terminal (where the Terminal 103 is located) or walk there (it takes about 10 minutes from Piazzale Roma to the Terminal 103).
Train from Mestre to Venezia Santa Lucia (every 5/10 minutes)
From the railway station Santa Lucia in about 10’ you can reach Piazzale Roma walking over the (in)famous glass bridge designed by Calatrava, and then take the People Mover or walk to Terminal 103. Did you miss it? No problem: the next one is in about 7 minutes.
It is possible to purchase a travel card for ACTV to take the Vaporetto to move in Venice. Consider that the cost of the single ticket is such that it will take approximately 10 journeys to repay the card. It is possible also to buy cards for less than 7 days.
Automatic, 24 hour, ticket machines are also present in various areas.

VALIDATION! Oh yes, don't forget to do it. Before going on board you must always validate your ticket both for vaporetto and People mover using the validation machines.
